Duties: Working under the direction of the Dean of Health Sciences, the Biomedical Engineering Technologist is responsible for the management of the equipment in the School of Health Sciences labs, including the inspection, repair, maintenance, calibration, and evaluation of equipment. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of a Preventative Maintenance Program, communication with vendors and external service providers, and development of policies and procedures regarding equipment maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications: Candidates will have completed a Biomedical Engineering Technology diploma and have a minimum of five years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical instrumentation.  Experience servicing Diagnostic Imaging equipment would be a definite asset.  The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and have excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently is critical.
