Duties include:
- This position requires analytical abilities that can identify opportunities for improvements in equipment types, maintenance processes, training, and terminal operator development.
- Must have interpersonal skills to interact and motivate operators and supervisors across L&D regions in Canada and the U.S. This is a must to continually move forward with the goal of achieving operational excellence and increased reliability.
- There will be the expectation of providing training, guidance, coaching, and in depth knowledge of overall maintenance to ensure the best possible outcome while ensuring compliance of all procedural and safety obligations. Any successes or failures will have far reaching implications on the reliability of terminal operations. This reliability directly affects our relationships with internal customers as well as our wholesale customers to which we supply a large volume of product with contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary or Community College along with strong mathematical skills.
- Strong Knowledge of petroleum storage facilities operations. Strong knowledge of customer requirements and cost implications of such. Knowledge of government compliance regulations and safety regulations. Tank programs and pipe specs.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude, ability to understand objectives and develop means of meeting them. Strong time management skills.
- 5+ plus years experience dealing with petroleum bulk storage facilities operations.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate different personalities. Must be able to communicate the benefits of preventative maintenance in such a way as to ensure an understanding at the most basic level.
- People skills, presentation skills, strong leadership and self starter.
