Our client, an established leader in the Canadian retail industry, is currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Administrator for their Burnside location. This is a permanent opportunity.

As the successful candidate, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients, while being responsible for all general bookkeeping and administrative tasks necessary to maintain the office on a daily basis. Specific duties include:

• Reception duties
• Office administration
• Payroll processing for salaried and contract staff
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations
• Journal entries
• Cash flow reporting
• Basic financial statement preparation
• Year end closing assistance

As the ideal candidate, you have post secondary education at the college level with a concentration in accounting, and a minimum of two years experience in a bookkeeping and administrative role. Together with above average organizational skills and attention to detail, you also have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. With a professional phone manner, you enjoy working in a client-focused environment. Experience with Simply Accounting is considered an asset.
