Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Halifax Film produces film and television programs with a concentration in children and family programming and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the publicly listed company, DHX Media Ltd., listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
As the Receptionist/Office Coordinator for their Halifax office you have experience in a similar role as well as exceptional organizational skills along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail. You show initiative, are able to multi-task, and have strong computer skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:
- Answer all incoming calls, direct calls, and greet and assist all visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer queries via walk-in, telephone, mail, and email
- Provide clerical assistance including document typing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, filing, and arranging couriers as required
- Sorting and distributing of incoming and outgoing mail
- Responsible for office supply orders, kitchen supplies, and keeping said areas tidy
- General office administration such as phone, fax, and photocopier maintenance, general office improvements, etc.
- Other duties as required
