Reporting to the President, the Vice President, Underwriting & Risk will direct, lead and deliver a clear underwriting strategy, including product and pricing strategies appropriate for a significant organization and its related organizational structure.  You will also lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk policy framework that provides robust and consistent methods and standards for risk identification, assessment, documentation and management. Ensure that risks are being controlled, in line with regulation, and the company’s appetite for risk.  You will provide leadership in managing diverse teams of underwriting and risk professionals, with a concentration on developing capability and capacity to achieve the company’s underwriting and risk objectives.

We seek an established industry professional that can provide leadership and direction to an accomplished team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of successful experience in a senior management role in underwriting and risk or relevant industry experience.  With strong interpersonal and communication skills you have a proven track record of executing and delivering on objectives.  Experienced at interacting positively with geographically dispersed locations and capable of working independently, you have demonstrated behaviors that indicate courage to innovate and the ability to embrace change and invite opportunity.
