We currently have opening for 1 highly motivated fulltime Manager of Technical Support (Finance & Field Services) to work in our Saint John location. This exciting career opportunity awaits you in our dynamic team-spirited IT support environment. The Technical Support Manager will plan and manage all financial activities of the Technical Support Services Department and will conduct analysis, forecast and maintain 6 budgets. Your responsibilities will include coaching, training, performance management, goal setting, & performance appraisals for a team of five. The Manager plans, organizes, leads and monitors all Technical Support Services billing activities and processes, being the main point of contact for acceptance and ownership of billing escalations. You will plan and direct analysis of financial data and provide feasibility and risk assessments of existing and proposed projects. You will prepare, maintain and achieve operational targets within budgetary guidelines by managing and controlling all operational and administrative activities by directing and overseeing the daily operations of the billing team. The Manager will ensure processes and procedures with other stakeholders in regards to contracts between Wyndham Worldwide Hotel Group (Technical Support) and properties are followed and that all activities conducted by Technical Support Services adhere to current procedures. You will act as main point of contact with Management in regards to projects and escalated issues regarding revenue generating activities, build analytical models and tools that utilize both financial and non-financial data to forecast operating results and be a Communication Vehicle for Technical Support Services to Business Units, Franchisees, Management Staff for such activities as project status, approval/notification of technology initiatives, Inter-departmental meeting attendance.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in the field of accounting, finance or related discipline and/or 4 year university degree in Business/Accounting
- Minimum 4 years experience in a finance/accounting role utilizing accounting principles and providing customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven skills in procurement, account maintenance and problem solving
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and multi task
- Excellent organizational skills
- Extensive usage and knowledge of MS Excel; Comprehension of MS Access; Knowledge of accounting software (Oracle)
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- A demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor others in a professional and positive manner
