Our client, a private manufacturing organization positioned for rapid growth, is seeking a dynamic and energetic Chief Financial Officer to oversee all of the accounting and finance functions for its head office in the Halifax Regional Municipality. This is a permanent opportunity.

With an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to challenge yourself, you will lead the organization’s financial reporting, corporate finance, financial planning, and corporate governance and compliance activities. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with a team of highly motivated, committed individuals, primary responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the organization’s strategic direction and growth;
• Leading the organization’s financial accounting, reporting and income tax functions;
• Working closely with senior management on mergers and acquisitions;
• Developing and managing finance activities;
• Managing risk and developing processes, structures and systems; and 
• Other accounting, finance and special project responsibilities as required.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) and five plus years experience in a senior level accounting and finance position. Experience in the manufacturing industry and with mergers and acquisitions is an asset. This role requires an energetic, committed individual with a competitive nature and strong team focus. Your track record and accomplishments reflect your advanced leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem resolution skills. Demonstrated initiative and long term vision are imperative.
