NSAHO is a non-profit, non-government association of organizations committed to the health and well-being of Nova Scotians. We support our members by delivering quality services, coordinating beneficial activities, and representing their collective views. Our membership includes the district health authorities and the IWK Health Centre, more than 90 continuing care providers, and other health-related organizations.
Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk
Position: This position is a full time position reporting directly to the Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payables, production of cheques, processing sales invoices, collection of accounts receivable, processing staff claim forms, control of petty cash, responding to customer inquiries, various analysis (balancing sub-ledgers to the General Ledger, some bank reconciliations, etc.), bank deposits, and other special projects as required
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable.
- Introductory accounting skills.
- Proficiency in the use of the financial system Great Plains.
- Proficiency in the use of Excel (intermediate skills).
- Have well developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work within strict timelines.
- Ability to work within strict confidentiality guidelines.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- The ideal candidate will be a team player who can manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, will have demonstrated an ability to work independently as well as within a team environment and provide superior client service.
