Job Description:
The Technical Writer seeks ways to improve the documentation process and content and to simplify the customer interaction with the client's product suite. The Technical Writer specifically:
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Works to continuously improve the content of technical publications
- Maintains an expert knowledge in the field of technical publications
- Gains and maintains an expert level of knowledge on the products and components being written about
- Achieves expert product knowledge in order to produce quality materials
- Follows corporate and departmental style guides to ensure a consistent look and feel for publications releases
- Follows the corporate and departmental defined processes for the development and delivery of documentation to ensure a quality end-product
- Understands the high-level technical solutions being developed
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- A minimum of five years experience writing English language technical publications for a technical audience
- Experience with Framemaker, Robohelp, any standard graphics tool, and HTML to create and manage technical publications
- Significant experience in working with extremely complex technical solutions
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Desired experience includes familiarity with computer telephony integration (CTI), network-based solutions, CRM systems, telephone switches or other highly technical software, as well as experience with programming languages and concepts.
