In this position, you will be a key member of the Mantis development team. You will contribute through the following activities:
- Creating scenarios (realistic business situations) and testing to ensure business requirements are met.
- Troubleshooting test run results and report bugs.
- Verifying results of nightly automated builds.
- Researching, testing, and recommending automated test tools
In this blended role, you will also apply one-third of your time to managing Metaworks' in-house network. You will be relied upon to set up and administer servers, domains, and users for office, development, test, and client-hosting environments. You will also purchase and deploy new hardware and software as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Required Technical - QA:
• Ability to design / create tests of all flavours -- performance tests, load tests, user interface tests, functional tests, system tests, web tests, database tests, etc.
• Experience with SQL Server
• Familiarity with test features of Visual Studio 2008 for Software Testers
• Practical use and knowledge of bug tracking tools
Required Technical – Network:
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2003 environments, specifically environments dealing with Virtualization using Hyper-V.
• Experience managing Exchange mail servers, SQL Server, firewalls and port forwarding, IIS, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects
A preferred candidate will have familiarity with test-driven development, agile methodology, rally management software, and Microsoft .NET Framework. Exposure to handheld technologies is considered an asset, as is the ability to write programs on the fly to improve testing activities and experience designing and implementing automated regression test suites for web based applications.
