Our client, Cooke Aquaculture Inc., an industry leader in quality Atlantic Salmon products is seeking a confident, motivated, business and technical-minded college graduate capable of project leadership, user training and support, and hands on technical work for the role of Business Systems Analyst based in Blacks Harbour office. 

This position involves software configuration, project planning, business requirements gathering/analysis, project management, business process improvement, user training and support.  This is an opportunity to leverage your education and work experience in a fast-paced environment where you will have mission critical projects and substantial responsibility. 

The successful candidate must be prepared to take initiative, be able to prioritize tasks and problems, and able to manage your time and projects effectively. You will have strong problem solving skills, a strong interest in technology and helping people use technology in their day-to-day work, strong written and oral communication skills and excellent listening skills.  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Database Skills (Access, SQL), a strong understanding of database design and database technology and advanced use of any Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Project) an asset.

The successful candidate will have the ability to bring business technology, such as specialized software applications, from the requirement analysis to implementation and training for end users, with a full understanding of the business objectives and business processes involved. 

In addition to an enthusiastic interest in business technology, this position requires a goal-oriented, business approach to software systems and the ability to interact effectively with system users and their managers.

This is not a programming or IT technical position.
