Position Overview:
The Web Business Specialist (WBS) is responsible for contributing and maintaining the company's profitable book of business, balancing efficient and effective underwriting within set underwriting license limits and meeting high service level standards. The WBS will be responsible for providing direct technical support and coaching for brokers to enable the completion of WebBusiness transaction. Success in this area will result from the use of strong written and verbal communication skills to build broker trust, strong broker relationships and a positive perception of the WebBusiness platform.

What you will achieve in this role:
- Provide technical support to brokers on the use of the WebBusiness platform, via telephone and e-mail
- Maintain high levels of productivity
- Develop strong broker relationships
- Communicate Royal & SunAlliance's Corporate Value Proposition to brokers
- Deliver exceptional customer service to brokers
- Ensure quality underwriting standards are met
- Negotiate mutually acceptable solutions to underwriting proposals with brokers
What you need to know and what experience you need to have for this role:
- Proven negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive understanding of broker operations, structure and values
- Ability to navigate both the internet and intranet for information
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Minimum of one year underwriting experience
- Customer service/Call centre experience desirable
What education is best for this role:
- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent experience or professional designation
