Required Immediately: Full-Time Mac-savvy Computer Technician

The Halifax Mac Store is Atlantic Canada's premier Apple Reseller and Service Provider, specializing in computer sales, rentals, service and support.  The Halifax Mac Store is a division of Terra Consultants Ltd., which has an office in, and is based out of, Fredericton, New Brunswick. Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Performing hardware repairs, part replacements, and software maintenance / troubleshooting on Apple computers.
• Providing basic support and troubleshooting to clients over the phone.
• Filling out service order documentation to ensure repair information is perceived clearly and accurately by other staff members and clients.
• Shipping and receiving of service parts.
• Occasionally assisting the sales department during periods of increased traffic in the shop.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the service department.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school graduation - some college or university preferred
• Knowledge of current Apple / Mac products is a definite asset
• Must be professional in appearance and attitude
• Previous computer technical experience is a definite asset – preferably with the Macintosh platform.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be reliable and trustworthy

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM – Closed on weekends

Salary: $11/hour to start, other periodic bonuses
