C++ Developer

Our sophisticated and diversified products find ready applications in the fields of land management, municipal planning, seafloor and ocean mapping and chart production. CARIS continuously evolves to ensure that we are meeting and exceeding market requirements and as a result are seeking a C++ Developer to join our high performance, award winning Development team.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a library of high performance, graphically oriented application components for the processing, manipulation and visualization of n-dimensional spatial data.
• Communicate and collaborate with Development team members and other key players to ensure optimum performance and product development.

Skills and Knowledge:

• C++ and object oriented development experience
• Experience in GUI application development
• Experience with Visual Studio.NET, MFC and XML
• Solutions focused
• Ability to work well within a high performance team
• Collaborative approach
• Ability to prioritize and manage time to maximize productivity
• Recognized interpersonal and good communication skills

Qualifications:

• A relevant undergraduate degree or college diploma
• Minimum of 2+ years of C++ and object oriented development experience

The following would be considered and asset:

• Experience with CARIS product suite and/or experience with similar geospatial software applications
• Experience with Quality Assurance and ISO practices
