Our client, a successful organization with business interests in various industries (including textile manufacturing, property management and rail car renovation/ refurbishment), is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking professional with superior financial and analytical skills to assume a pivotal role with one of its key divisions. 
A strategic thinker you will thrive on the challenges associated with overseeing the fiscal, accounting, and administrative responsibilities of an organization experiencing significant growth. You will be charged with ensuring that the organization meets generally accepted accounting standards and promotes the full, accurate and timely disclosure of financial information. Working closely with senior management your grasp of the bigger picture will allow you to identify opportunities for growth. Having an entrepreneurial mindset, you will recommend business solutions and processes that will lead to continuous improvement of day to day operations.
Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing annual and monthly budget projections, as well as quarterly forecasts. You will also implement financial and administrative processes that will lead to cost-savings and increased efficiencies. Leading by example, you will inspire the financial group responsible for such functions as accounts payable processing, cost accounting, revenue analysis, and P& L statements. You will also supervise and motivate the administrative team involved in such duties as payroll and benefits, building maintenance, and safeguarding capital assets. 
An exceptional communicator, you know how to motivate and inspire people and you are comfortable interacting with employees at all levels. Constantly displaying initiative, you are the type of dynamic, results-oriented leader with a career path that’s on the rise.
To excel in this demanding role, you will have a minimum of five years experience in a similar capacity at other large organizations, as well as a post-secondary degree and an accounting designation (an MBA would be a definite asset). Strong financial, analytical and communications skills are essential and international business experience is desirable.
