Human Resources Supervisor
Competition No. 08-16-CB
Reporting to the Manager of Administration, the successful candidate will provide HR support and assistance to all departments and employees within the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Employee/Labour Relations – contract interpretation, administration of the grievance/arbitration process, negotiation of collective agreements, conflict resolution, coordination of manpower, etc.
- Policy & Procedure – maintain a positive work environment by effectively implementing and administering Company policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Labour Standards Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and Human Rights legislation
- Recruitment – recruitment and hiring activities as required, development and implementation of recruitment strategies
- Training & Development
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a unionized environment, preferably with multiple collective agreements
- Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources/Industrial Relations, or related discipline
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Skilled time management and organizational ability
- Computer literacy and full proficiency with MS office
- CHRP designation is considered an asset
Successful candidate will be required to submit a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP before commencing employment.
