Production Planner

Our client delivers world-class technologies and integrated, turnkey manufacturing solutions that enhance safety, security and efficiency.  They have a current need for a Production Planner to join their rapidly growing manufacturing operation.

As an integral part of the Manufacturing Production Team, reporting to the production director, your responsibilities will include:

• Scheduling all assemblies for production using forecast, customer orders, and capacity constraints
• Coordinating material releases from warehouse to production
• Weekly reporting of schedule status to customer service and production
• Work with inventory control to process all material transactions in ERP and enforce inventory policies
• ERP updating and transaction processing
• Maintenance of forecast updates in ERP
• Participate in cross functional continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production director to plan and monitor production resource requirements

In this role you are responsible for planning all customer orders for the manufacturing operations using and ERP tools. You will work closely with all departments to achieve on time delivery and customer satisfaction.

As the ideal candidate, you have a college diploma or university degree in Industrial/ Manufacturing Engineering with 2 years experience in Production Planning and excellent computer skills.  Experience with ERP and inventory control would be a definite asset.
