Accountabilities: The Web Developer/Administrator provides administrative and technical management of all facets of the corporate web presence. The Web Developer/Administrator is accountable for web development and monitoring, system planning, coordination for special projects, and day-to-day support issues. Other key responsibilities include content management system support, application of best practice operational controls, and participation in the design and deployment of web-based solutions.
The successful applicant will be required to perform short- and long-term strategic planning of the integrated Internet/Intranet resources for the organization, and carry out ongoing evaluation of web infrastructure (software and hardware) to ensure the continued and future effectiveness of the enterprise website(s). The Web Develop/Administrator will plan and implement changes to the web environment as needed, employing best practice change management procedures.
The Web Develop/Administrator is required to participate in an after-hours on-call support rotation.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience: The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge and understanding of current authoring languages, editing and authoring tools, and related web technologies. Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of UNIX and Windows distributed operating systems, electronic document management – specifically Microsoft SharePoint; knowledge of established programming procedures and programming languages - HTML, PERL, JAVA, PHP, ASP.NET; knowledge of web servers and servlet containers - Apache, Tomcat, MS Internet Information Server (IIS), BEA Weblogic.
You must possess strong organization and prioritizing skills. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients in a diverse environment. You will have the ability to provide technical training to staff and to develop, document, and implement strategic plans and programs in area of expertise. You possess the knowledge of the principles, procedures, and standards of integrated website structuring and design. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures, as well as, develop, plan and implement short- and long-range goals.
