Focal is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead staff initiatives in continuous improvement using suitable lean, six sigma or alternate approach.
• Motivate and coach staff in continuous improvement techniques.
• Work with MIS and Finance departments to implement and manage agreed company metrics.
• Manage QC and Audit staff for both internal and supplier audit.
• Work with Purchasing to ensure Focal policies are implemented by suppliers.
• Manage Focal QA system.
• Represent Focal during customer audits and in resolving matters pertaining to quality with customers and jurisdictional representatives.
• Ensure company procedures adhere to ISO 9001-2000 standards and ATEX directive.
• Manage the QC department.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Report on the performance of company quality and hold management quality reviews twice a year.
• Monitor dock to stock program.

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Office and ERP experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and team leading skills.
• Able to lead staff initiatives in continuous improvement using suitable lean, six sigma or alternate approach.
• Six Sigma Black belt or Green Belt training would be an asset.
• Knowledge of ISO requirements.
• Experience working in a 'design to order' environment.
• Able to motivate and coach staff in continuous improvement techniques.
• Experience working with MIS and Finance departments to implement and manage agreed company metrics.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems.
