My client, a leading Atlantic Canadian based Financial Service providers, is currently seeking an Account Executive to open their new Halifax office and provide effective financial protection solutions to commercial accounts in HRM.

Primary Job Function:

• Manages and develops relationships with key clients and centers of influence
• Engages in weekly business development activity and reports to management
• Adheres to a defined sales approach
• Completes all reports to management in a timely and organized fashion
• Provide quarterly reviews to key clients/arrange pre-renewal strategy sessions on A and B accounts

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to leverage existing business relationships to gain new clients
• Ability to provide a high level of service/professional advice to a wide range of clients
• Ability to manage competing demands on time - new business development vs. client relationship management/service
• Has the ability to connect with people and build meaningful and beneficial relationships.
• Ability to identify targeted clientele and have the means and desire to form relationships with them.  

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.  Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
• Minimum 3 year business to business account management sales experience.
• Valid General Insurance and industry accreditations such as CAIB & CIP would be considered assets to this position
