We are currently looking to add the talents of a Senior .Net Developer to our team. As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for on-plan delivery of the technology component of projects.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide overall Development leadership throughout project lifecycles;
- Analyze complex development/technical problems, and propose solutions;
- Assist in researching new technologies and providing recommendations;
- Assist in the design and development of new products/customer specific projects;
- Assist project teams in scoping and estimating project work;
- Assure the overall technical quality of the solution;
- Lead technical initiatives for key customers;
- Understand and map user and business driven requirements to the technologies needed to support them;
- Develop code working closely with business analysts, ensuring that the technology will deliver value;
- Work with the external vendors, as part of the project team, to integrate the entire solution in the client's test environments;
- Work with the Solution Architect to ensure the solution is constructed according to the architecture; and
- Development of 'software glue' to enable integration of applications (e.g. Single Sign On);
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering degree combined with 6+ years designing and delivering technical projects;
- 3 years+ experience developing ASP.Net 2.0 applications
- Extensive knowledge of Asp.Net 2.0 Web-Based Client Development (as covered by Microsoft MCTS exam 70-528)
- Extensive knowledge of ASP.Net 3.5 Web-Based Client Development
- Extensive knowledge of Asp.Net 2.0 Application Development Framework (as covered by Microsoft MCTS Exam 70-536)
- Extensive knowledge of C#2.0, C#3.0
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005
- Good knowledge of AJAX
- Good knowledge of Web Servers, Application Servers (Tomcat and/or WebLogic), SOAP, WebServices, Internet Security, messaging and XML ;
- Experience designing and/or implementing large-scale Internet architectures, using standard-based web technologies such as XML, J2EE and .NET;
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Best Practices and Design Patterns
- Development team leadership (requirements gathering, architecture and design, team mentoring, and conflict resolution);
- Demonstrated knowledge of Object-Oriented Design
- Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- C# 3.0, Java, J2EE, ASP.NET 2.0, ASP.NET 3.5,T-SQL, JavaScript
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Additional Assets:
- Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Library
- Experience with ORM tools such as NHibernate
- Experience with NUnit or other Unit Testing frameworks
- Experience with Visual SourceSafe
- Experience with Portal Development Frameworks such as SharePoint or DotNetNuke.
- Web Services and other Distributed Application Development (as covered by Microsoft MCTS Exam 70-529);
- Enterprise integration experience with Microsoft Biz Talk or other enterprise level tools
- Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation
- Experience with Oracle Databases.
- VB.Net experience
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques
- The ability to speak both French and English is an asset;
- The ability to work on client sites in locations other than Fredericton.
