Job Description
This position will be responsible for overseeing solution development and delivery of SkillSoft library customization projects, custom Knowledge Center projects, and other associated technical work related to flash development.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for Flash toolset resource management, support, and program/product management as required.
Responsible for interfacing with other key groups in Custom Development and other SkillSoft sales and operations units when required.
Responsible for managing the effective resource/performance management and development of the people/resources in the delivery of the services described above.
Responsible to maintain appropriate documentation in conjunction with delivery of solutions to customers. Such documentation would include weekly project reports, weekly resource reports, general administration of SOWs, sign-offs, etc. in relation to specific customer-facing projects.
Interact effectively with clients and other departments of SkillSoft in a consultative/support fashion.
Align strategic objectives of company with ongoing projects/development.
Job Requirements
This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience developing, managing and implementing interactive computer- based training and in managing resources/teams associated with these activities. The candidate should also have previous demonstrated expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, learning technologies and/or QA of learning materials. Customer service, project management, and a focus on delivering solutions is a strong asset.
A degree in Instructional Design, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience is required.
All project and resource management/development positions require a proven track record and a strong commitment/dedication to excellence in all facets of the position.
MS Office essential
Flash experience preferred
XML and HTML preferred
Experience with media design tools and formats - ex. all Adobe products, video etc.
Familiarity with courseware authoring tools and platforms - ex. Toolbook, Authorware, Articulate, SkillSoft Dialogue, CCT, SkillStudio, etc.
Database expertise preferred, but not required
Javascript, Adobe Flex and Air preferred but not required
Knowledge of AICC and SCORM standards
