A technical services company based in Quispamsis, New Brunswick requires an office assistant for up to 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping, invoicing, managing receivables and completion and processing of employee expense reports and payroll.
- Interaction with clients and suppliers by telephone and by e-mail, always with courtesy, tact, and promptness.
- Organization of project information and filing systems (both manual and digital)
- Using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for document and report preparation.
- Internet research as directed for specific projects.
- Providing general administrative support to management and staff.
Personal attributes must include attention to detail, pleasant telephone manner, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and an understanding and willingness to deal with sensitive information on a confidential basis.
Technically, the individual must have strong computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a familiarity with accounting software (preferably Simply Accounting). The individual must also have a valid driver's license, and experience in office practices and procedures.
Our business requires a self-directed individual who can undertake a variety of tasks with minimal supervision, who is flexible, and who enjoys working in a technical environment where projects must be completed on time and on budget. Previous work for an engineering or technical services company would be considered an asset, as would a background in technology.
