- Provides labor and materials cost quotations for custom build projects.
- Oversees fabrication of all exhibit properties and other custom build projects for resale or for rental.
- Builds exhibit properties and other custom build projects.
- Determines cost effective methods for each custom build project.
- If CAD drawings are not available, generates clear drawings/sketches with critical dimensions, and confirms materials to be used.
- Repairs and maintains custom rental stock.
- Repairs and maintains stored client owned custom exhibit properties.
- Maintains appropriate minimum levels of raw materials inventory.
- Submits bill of materials at the conclusion of each project.
- Able to work productively with minimum guidance.
- Able to identify opportunities to improve fabrication processes or economy.
Experience in fabrication with wood, laminates, metals, plastics and various finishes as well as possessing a high degree of creativity, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to a wide variety of project requirements would be an asset. This position requires a high degree of ingenuity, initiative, and the ability to work with a team to accomplish goals.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
Compensation: To be negotiated, dependant on skills and previous experience. Health benefits package available.
