Project Manager

Our Project Managers are responsible for managing different types of business systems projects with varying degrees of complexity for the JD Irving Limited affiliate companies.  Project focus areas include product/tool selection, package implementation, application development, infrastructure, and systems integration. 
The position requires the ability to provide effective leadership in a dynamic environment.  We are looking for an individual who can assess opportunities, impacts and risks, and develop/implement comprehensive solutions. Experience in helping companies assess/modify their business processes in order to fully benefit from new technology is required as are strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

University Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
5+ years experience in the successful delivery of applied business systems projects of progressively larger scale and complexity
Solid knowledge of JD Edwards or a comparable Tier 1 ERP
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a necessity.  In particular expertise in gathering and documenting user requirements.
Experience in the following, although not required, would be a definite asset:
Industry experience in Transportation, Manufacturing, or Consumer Package goods
Process improvement experience and training in LEAN or Six Sigma
