The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience developing and preparing municipal engineering drawings, plans, diagrams and layouts in the areas of residential subdivision, commercial development, municipal infrastructure and conceptual planning.
Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing a wide range of engineering-related projects.
Responsibilities - Developing engineering specifications and drawings
- Coordinating AutoCAD drawing preparation
- Preparing quantity and cost estimates
- Reviewing and approving design drawings
- Working in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Managing clients, regulatory agencies, and approvals
- Attending meetings with contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients
- Managing projects, administering contracts, and controlling budgets
Requirements - Eligible for membership with APENS/APEGNB
- Minimum of 10 years progressive experience
- AutoCAD Land Development proficiency an asset
- Meticulous attention to detail essential
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities essential
- Excellent knowledge of municipal engineering and land development
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven negotiating and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, administer contracts and control budgets
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment
- Exceptional organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Exposure to a construction environment would be considered an asset
- Transportation design experience would be considered an asset
