Ship Rigger
Irving Shipbuilding Inc's primary office is located at the Halifax Shipyard with other locations in the Maritime Provinces. The company has been carrying out ship repair, building quality ships and fabricated modules for over 100 yrs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Area of Specialization: Rigging and Handling
- Work Setting Experience: Shipbuilding and Repair, Steel Industry
- Types of Machinery: Hoists and other lifting devices.
Employees will be required to perform rigging tasks, but will also be expected to perform other trade work as required. Applicants with multi-trade disciplines will be given preference.
Education Requirements – Knowledge & Skills:
- Completion of college / CEGEP / Vocational or Technical Training
- Hoisting and Rigging Certificate
- 3 – 5 years Experience
