Our client, located in Fredericton, is looking for a Manager for their Marketing and Sales department. Reporting to the General Manager and having 2 direct reports you will liaise with internal and external groups and departments to include: Senior Management Group, Project Managers, Planning, Construction and Maintenance, Customer Attachment and Care, Government and Regulatory officials and agencies, Economic Development offices, Customers, Marketing partners, Industry Associations, Business groups, community contacts, financial organizations.
You will assume full strategic and tactical accountability for the development and execution of comprehensive and integrated marketing and sales strategies ensuring growth in all markets within the Company’s areas of operation.
Accountabilities:
- Manage the successful development and execution of marketing programs from concept through to sales execution
- Develop long term growth strategies to support the economic expansion of the distribution system
- Adapt marketing and sales strategies in a timely manner in response to changing market conditions or actual sales experience to maintain long term revenue growth expectations
- Ensure appropriate sales performance targets are established and value creation is maximized by driving the sales delivery process
- Build and manage relationships with critical strategic industry stakeholders to influence growth and development opportunities in all market segments
- Execute customer–driven marketing programs positioning natural gas as the fuel of choice for all customers
- Establish and maintain a strong brand profile through various marketing programs and initiatives
- Motivate and develop Marketing and Sales staff to achieve immediate sales targets and longer term growth strategies
- Champion interaction and optimize synergies between Marketing/Sales and internal departments, include the efficient migration of customers from signing to turn-on
- Ensure the development of a value-added product and services portfolio to build load and to assure transactional ease for customers
- Manage external marketing professionals to achieve successful completion of initiatives
- Optimize available resources against workload demands for all products and services
Skills & Qualifications:
- High performance individual capable of strategic leadership and management of Marketing/Sales activities and workforce in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Business degree with Marketing major and/or MBA preferred.
- 5-10 years of proven marketing and sales leadership experience, within a utility or industrial environment considered a definite asset.
- Strong communication skills. Bilingualism is an asset.
- Focused on the delivery of aggressive organizational targets and goals.
- Strong financial, forecasting and budgeting skills.
- Superior staff management skills including performance and development management.
