Registered Nurse (RN) – Casual Positions
Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) will help create quality nursing practice environments that promote safe and ethical care. The RN will determine the full scope of their individual practice, and attain and maintain competency within that scope of practice. The RN will demonstrate leadership qualities, communicate effectively with colleagues, take an active role in decision making, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine standards of care. The RN exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while practicing according to the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and the College of Registered Nurse of Nova Scotia Standards of Nursing Practice.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia
- Current CPR certification required
- Nursing experience is required
- Demonstrated clinical and technical skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and supervise patient care
- Ability to demonstrate sound decision making skills and be accountable for decisions
- Basic computer skills
Hours of Work: Casual as per RNs availability
Salary: $33.65 per hour + vacation pay (4%)
