Reporting to the Director Decision Support the Manager Decision Support is responsible for supporting the user's community by promoting awareness and analytical use of the Decision Support applications for effective decision making.  You will manage the technology portfolio, including each toolset and its appliance to the decision support solution.  You will be responsible to provide leadership in using existing toolset application guidelines and recommendations to the development and technical services team while providing long-term strategy in alignment with all current transactional application systems.  You will define standards for data collection techniques, data models, storage strategy and technology, and data integrity within a team environment, create strategic and resolve developmental issues related to the collection, storage and design of information for the enterprise-wide data warehousing applications. Finally you will assist analysts within the business to effectively access data using the Decision Support System presentation tools and turn the data into organized information for decision making at the right level of details.

Required:

• Undergraduate degree in business or information technology
• Excellent communication and relationship skills in a technical environment
• Strong leadership, team orgnization and consensus-building skills
• Familiarity with retail business information needs
• Expert knowledge in applying data warehousing analytics
• Experience using DSS tools, SAS, Cognos, and SAP Business Warehouse
• Minimum 3 years experience in large, entreprise data warehousing environments

Preferred:

• Experience with various business process and system modeling tools including: Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship (ER) Diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, Context Models, Event Modeling, Process Decomposition and Use Case Scenarios
• SAS experience is an asset
