Our client, an industry leader in Saint John, has an immediate opening for a full time QC Inspector (Welding).

Reponsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Inspection of steel throughout the fabrication process including incoming inspection, fit-up, bolting, welding and painting to ensure  product meets quality standards;
• Ensure manufactured product meets drawing and specification requirements;
• Complete various quality control reports in a timely and efficient manner;
• Shift work is inherent of this position.

Education Requirements - Knowledge & Skills:

• Minimum Level 1 Welding Inspector Certification (CSA W178.2) by the Canadian Welding Bureau;
• Strong understanding of  Welding and/or Fitting of structural steel;
• Experience with quality systems (AISC, ISO), coatings inspection and NACE certification would be definite assets;
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment;
• Detail-oriented & possess excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills;
• Strong computer skills using MS software programs are required.
