Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, Rehabilitation Services, and/or the Orthotist/Prosthetist, the Technician is responsible for a technical workload ensuring the quality of product and timely completion of tasks. The Registered Technician is responsible for the introduction of new technology as it becomes available and to supervise/assist students and interns. This position improves efficiencies of service delivery as it allows the Orthotist/Prosthetist to spend more time with clinical interventions. Must maintain registration as a technician through the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists.

Qualifications:
* Registered Technician (or eligible for registration)in Orthotics/Prosthetics through the Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists
* Minimum of two years experience
* Ability to follow the fabrication process with minimal or no supervision
*Demonstrated strong leadership skills with emphasis on decision making, problem solving, and effective staff motivation
* Demonstrated communication and analytical skills
* Demonstrated self-starter, who is a decision maker, can co-ordinate a consistent workload on a daily basis, as well as solving problems

Hours of Work:
* Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
* Monday to Friday; 0800 - 1600
Salary: Orthotics/Prosthetics Tech (Registered):
$22.5892 - $27.6962 Hourly
