Leader, IT Operations (6 Month Term)

Accountabilities:
As the IT Operations Leader you are responsible for directing decisions regarding the integrity, capability, capacity and day to day management of the IT environments for NSP and affiliate companies.  You ensure the operating capacities of internal computing platforms are sufficient for current and future business requirements; lead management and technical teams in resolving incidents and problems within the IT operating environment; and liaise with other operating areas of the company to resolve enterprise emergencies.  You manage the daily operational aspects of various Service Level Agreements with the service providers and assist in identifying, negotiating and implementing contract changes.  You are also responsible for directing asset investments and ensuring that optimal cost/benefit solutions are delivered through the active management of all IT procurement activity.

Skills, Capabilities and Experience: 
You will have a post secondary education or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent work experience managing IT operations.  You have the ability to understand a client's business process, translate business needs into technical solutions and offer suggestions for improvement.  You possess superior technical infrastructure knowledge in PC, Intel, and UNIX based hardware; understand computer network operating system architecture concepts and IT security, risk, change management and ITIL based best practices.

You will possess excellent communication skills and have demonstrated problem solving and risk management skills.  You are also adaptable and extremely current with emerging technologies and trends. 

This position offers a compensation package commensurate with the role and includes a base salary, incentive, and benefits package.
