Are you looking to join a progressive company in the steel fabrication industry? Our Client is currently looking for a self-motivated Project Manager to lead their upcoming steel fabrication projects. The successful applicant will have the following background in at least three of the following: engineering, drafting, estimating, field installation, maintenance, and inspection.
Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate all aspects of the project with appropriate and accurate scheduling.
- To plan, schedule and control all phases of the project, including the handling of contract changes.
- To provide accurate and timely cost and progress data.
- Be familiar at all times with contract requirements and ensure that appropriate project team members are informed.
- Ensure that change notice and change order procedures are followed in a timely manner.
- To ensure the project is performed safely, on time, within budget, and meeting all quality requirements.
- To ensure that all subcontracts and vendor agreements are developed and performed safely, on time, and meeting all quality standards.
- Control project documents.
- Ensure that project control is providing accurate, meaningful, and timely cost and schedule data.
Abilities:
- This position requires a high degree of problem-solving ability, initiative, and the ability to work with a team to accomplish goals.
- Able to work productively with minimum guidance.
- Able to identify opportunities to improve fabrication processes or economy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education Grade 12 with industry experience in steel fabrication project management, CET or equivalent in Mechanical or Structural Technology, or a University degree in Engineering.
- Familiar with welding technologies and quality management.
- Experience in co-ordinating and managing steel fabrication for industry.
