We are currently seeking Quality Assurance Inspectors to support the Quality Assurance Department in our Windsor, Nova Scotia location.
Reporting directly to the Director, Quality Assurance, the QA Inspectors will be responsible for various activities including:
- Inspection or auditing of electrical and mechanical assemblies/parts
- Monitoring & Reporting of in-process yield rates and vendor performance
- Approving First Article samples
- Inspection of kits
- Issuing non-conformances & corrective actions
- Assisting in training of manufacturing personnel
- Supporting vendors and the manufacturing team
- Support the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance System
- Other QA activities as required
The ideal candidates will possess:
- Technologist diploma and 1-2 years of Quality Assurance experience
- Strong knowledge of electronics workmanship standards and practices, such as IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-454, IPC-A-600, or similar workmanship standards
- Sound decision-making abilities and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 principles
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally (if required)
- Valid Driver’s Licence and Valid Passport (or ability to obtain Valid Passport) is required
