Our client in Hamilton is looking to hire experienced dental assistants to start immediately. Excellent hourly wages starting at $20+ per hour!
Candidates must be available on an on-call basis, working periodic shifts. This is a great opportunity to pick up an extra shift if you are currently working part-time.

| Responsibilities |
Acts as a chairside assistant in dental clinics
Prepares patients for treatment, arranges instruments, prepares materials and medications and keeps the operating field clear during procedures
Maintains all dental equipment and the inventory of clinical supplies
Maintains the clinical and sterilization areas and reports any deficiencies to the Manager
Exposes, processes and mounts dental radiographs
Provides oral hygiene instruction and dental health education to clinic patients
Maintains/conducts daily quality assurance standards

| Requirements |
Must possess HARP certification
Experience in a computerized environment (ABELDent)
Current knowledge of and ability to follow a full range of dental clinical procedures and protocols
Demonstrated knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures
Demonstrated ability to set up and prepare dental equipment and instrumentation
Knowledge of radiation safety procedures, standards, and protocols
Demonstrated ability to develop and process dental radiographs
Working knowledge of sterile procedures
Must possess a valid Class "G" Ontario Driver's Licence
Current CPR Certification
