CARIS continuously evolves to ensure that we are meeting and exceeding market requirements and as a result are seeking an Application Developer to join our high performance, award winning Development team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a library of high performance, graphically oriented application components for the processing, manipulation and visualization of n-dimensional spatial data
• Communicate and collaborate with Development team members and other key players to ensure optimum performance and product development

Skills and Knowledge:

• 1-3 years of C++ and/or Java software development and object oriented design experience
• Ability to work well within a high performance team
• Collaborative approach
• Ability to prioritize and manage time to maximize productivity
• Recognized interpersonal and good communication skills

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science or a Diploma from Community College

The following would be considered and asset:

• Experience in GUI application development and object oriented design
• Experience with CVS, XML, SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle
• Experience with Quality Assurance and ISO practices
