The M-I SWACO Environmental Solutions group is seeking to recruit a Machinist based out of Spruce Grove, Alberta.  The successful candidate will possess a Journeyman Machinist certificate, ability to operate a forklift, strong communications skills, proficiency on computers and knowledge of MS office products.  This position will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the shop environment of safety.  M-I SWACO offers competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package to qualified individuals.

Department: Environmental Solutions

Responsibilities:

• Operate lathes, drill press and milling machines to fabricate parts for equipment repair and maintenance
• Complete required documentation to track the costs of repairs to each machine (ISO 9001 requirement)
• Assist with handling special projects

Qualifications/Education:

• Motivated individual with Journeyman Machinist Certification
• Experience with use and operation of a forklift
• Commitment to safety in the workplace
• Strong oral and written communication skills are preferred
• Proficiency with using a computer in a Microsoft environment is considered a strong asset
