Infrastructure Support
Painter/Plasterer
Permanent, Full-time (3 Positions)

Duties:  
Performs skilled painting and plastering work in preparing surfaces for painting and applying paint to interior and exterior structures, furniture and equipment.  Washes, scrapes, burns and sand paper surfaces preparatory to painting; putties slight defects in woodwork, patches holes in walls; erects scaffolding; cleans paint brushes, rollers, spray guns and other equipment used in the painting process; sparkles new gyproc, construction and sands and finishes same; puts up wall cover such as wallpaper and vinyl paper with adhesive and removes and installs vinyl tiles and wall base; maintains control of inventory; and performs a variety of skilled plastering work.  This is a physically demanding position, which involves significant standing, walking, bending and lifting.

Qualifications: 
Graduation from High School or equivalent.  A Journeyperson's Certificate in Painting/Plastering  is required.  In addition, three years experience in painting in a commercial or industrial setting is required.  A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.

Hours of Work:   75 hours bi-weekly (7.5 Hour Shifts; Days)
Salary:               HS21 – $15.06 - $16.39 per hour (Under Review)
