Position Summary: The Senior Cook reports to the Food Service Manager for the Pictou County Health Authority and is under the direction of the Food Services Supervisor.  The Senior Cook is responsible for the day to day operation of the dietary department ensuring that patients receive appropriate food based on required standards within the dietary department.  Food preparation and production functions are in accordance to established objectives and policies.

Qualifications:

• Successful Completion of academic Grade XII or equivalent required.
• Professional Cook Certificate required.
• At least two years of related health care experience is required.
• Previous work attendance may be considered.
• Good verbal, reading and writing skills are required.
