Status (Seasonal) This position is for more than 10 weeks but less than 4 months.

Duties:
Under the direction of the Park Technician or designate, the Park Attendant is responsible for seasonal operation and maintenance of Designated Provincial Parks - including buildings, vehicles, grounds and equipment; providing visitor information; monitoring park activities for regulation compliance; Computer registration and cash handling; Advise visitors of park regulations and report non-compliance to Conservation Officers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 10.
- Required to hold a driver's license valid in NS or equivalent to NS Class 5.
Desired Qualifications:
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) would be considered an asset.
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to operate a cash register would be considered an asset.
- Experience in building and ground maintenance and the use of various power tools, power mowers, and basic computer knowledge.
- Basic computer skills.
- Training, experience in or demonstrated ability for ensuring compliance of Regulations in a public setting.
Condition(s) of Employment:
- Candidates selected for interviews may be required to submit a Driver's Abstract.
- Candidates may be required to go through background and security checks.
Term of Employment: Late May - Mid September
Classification Level: MOS 4
Salary Range: $31,219 - $31,812
Hours of Work: 40 Hours weekly ( Evening and Nighttime Shifts)
