Position Available: Temporary Full Time Maintenance
(Approx. 3 months)
Closing Date: May 12, 2008

Scope of Position: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, conducts general maintenance work to interior and exterior of the building and equipment. Must be able to work independently and be able to plan and request materials for related jobs. 

Qualifications: 

1. Minimum completion of Grade Twelve (12) required or equivalent.
2. Community College (Vocational School) graduate preferred
3. Good written and oral communication skills
4. Experience with hand tools, welding and cutting materials
5. Experience with compressors, generators, mechanical and plumbing systems
6. General computer knowledge
7. Minimum three (3) years experience
8. Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis

Salary Range:
In accordance with current collective agreement between Ocean View Manor Society and C.U.P.E. Local 1245 for Maintenance Level 1

Shifts:
Includes weekend rotation every three (3) weeks and availability for special events
