A division of Shaw Resources, Eastern Embers manufactures wood pellets for residential and industrial fuel markets in Atlantic Canada, the US and Europe. We are currently recruiting Equipment Operators to join our packaging team. As part of the packaging crew, you will operate the palletizing and bagging machines, including start up and trouble shooting of problems. In addition to operating packaging equipment, you will drive a forklift, build pallets using an air nailer, and do whatever it takes to keep the packaging line running.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Willingness and ability to practice safe work habits at all times
• Grade XII or equivalent
• Dependable with the ability to work a scheduled shift and flexible hours
• Physically capable of lifting and moving products and materials
• Ability to climb heights and enter confined spaces (required training will be provided)
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Previous training and experience operating a forklift, loader or automated production & packaging equipment will be considered an asset.
