Our client is offering a great opportunity for the right individual to learn this exciting and dynamic trade! If you’ve been looking for a trade where you can apply your problem-solving and analytical skills in a hands-on role in the HRM, then we want to talk to you!

As an Air Balance Technician, you will inspect, test, adjust and balance heating, cooling and ventilation systems in commercial, institutional and industrial buildings. You will use specialist tools, procedures and test equipment to ensure that the occupants have a comfortably conditioned space. Your day-to-day role will include reading blueprints, recording data, troubleshooting systems and unexpected situations that will ultimately result in a client report regarding their HVAC system and air flow.

To qualify for this immediate opportunity, you possess the following:

  • A Mechanical Technology Diploma or a combination of education and experience in a related trade
  • Strong mathematical skills, able to learn and use various formulas and equations on a daily basis
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong detail orientation; able to use logic and analysis to determine how different factors relate to each other in order to find root causes of problems with the air flow systems
  • Your own vehicle; available for local travel with flexible hours as required to meet varying clients’ needs
  • Ability to handle physical work, including lifting up to 25 lbs. and climbing ladders repetitively
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
