Account Representative - Outside Sales Representative (dealing with retailers)

You will establish a close business relationship with our trade partners and achieve ideal inventory levels and distribution of the defined brand portfolio in order to maximize availability, visibility, ensure freshness and have Imperial Tobacco brands competitively priced, through the execution of corporate plans.
 
Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To secure and to correctly capture sales orders from retailers.
  • To fulfill market demand for Imperial Tobacco Canada products by maintaining ideal inventory levels and achieve distribution targets for the given brand portfolio.
  • To achieve national, regional and district objectives through effective and efficient implementation of cycle activities and regional/district activities.
  • To negotiate contracts with retailers, respond to their questions, issues and concerns, and monitor contract compliance.

Skills and qualifications:

  • University degree in marketing, business or related field
  • Previous sales experience would be an asset, preferably in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry (FMCG) and or Direct to Store Sales environment (DSS).

Other requirements:

  • Good Business Acumen
  • Salesmanship, marketing and negotiations skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license
