Sales and Event Coordinator
Responsible for all inside sales activities related to assigned shows, from lead generation through close. Develops and implements agreed upon sales plan, which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in designated show. Works with show management to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term show growth and account development in line with company vision and values.
Responsibilities:
- Support the sales efforts of management for assigned trade and/or consumer shows.
- Continue to develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, industry publications, some face-to-face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking.
- Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from multi media clients and competitive shows.
- Consultatively selling to both prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
- Assist supervise event at move in and outs, ensure needs of the exhibitors are met, customer care at show.
- Assist coordination seminar activity as required.
- Maintain contact with all clients related designated shows to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction.
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments including the Show Manager, Internal Marketing Dept, Show Contractors, Graphics, Printing, Accounting, etc.
The Ideal Candidate will possess:
- Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
- Consultative selling and closing skills or the aptitude to learn these skills.
- Excellent communication, persuasion and partnering skills
- Strong goal setting, time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Bilingualism in both official languages an asset.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant sales experience demonstrating success in business-to-business environments.
- Experience in selling concepts i.e.: non-tangible products an asset.
- Must have valid drivers license and access to a current model vehicle.
- Post secondary education a strong asset.
