Inside Account Executive - eLearning

Job Purpose

The Inside Account Executive will be responsible for quota attainment as part of an integrated selling organization to maximize selling activities across key accounts in a region of the US/Canada sales organization.  Additionally, Inside Account Executives will provide customers with a single point of contact for account management, increasing customer satisfaction and driving customer loyalty. 

Inside Account Executives will be primarily responsible for increasing the reach and scope of sales coverage. To that end, Inside Account Executives will focus on identifying and nurturing opportunities to be closed by themselves or the field sales force.

Job Duties

  • Work to achieve region/territory sales goals of products, services and solutions through penetration of assigned account base.
  • Identify and close eLearning sales opportunities over the phone.
  • Reactivate and re-establish relationships with "dormant" customers.
  • Generate incremental revenue through up-selling and cross-selling activities.
  • Qualify new sales opportunities for Business Development.
  • Understand strategic account selling in order to penetrate existing accounts– buying process, solution design, decision structure, timing, budgetary process, contract terms and conditions, etc.
  • Participate in regular sales and account planning meetings with Product Management, Marketing and Inside Sales Manager.
  • Communicate with the Inside Sales Manager and Product as needed to advise on account updates/issues, product sales, and opportunities for up-sell/ cross-sell.
  • Effectively manage customer relations to increase customer loyalty and retention.
  • Leverage existing selling tools and collateral.
  • Very limited travel.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 2 years post secondary education (University degree an asset).
  • Minimum 2 years B2B sales experience, technology oriented sales experience is preferred.
  • High tech/storage industry knowledge and experience is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of account management and portfolio planning.
  • History of achieving and surpassing goals/ quotas.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish mutual tasks and goals.
  • Willing to take direction.
  • Experience in highly collaborative environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Persistent and upbeat.
  • Articulate in speech and diction.
  • Confident, polished and professional.
  • Engaging, enthusiastic personality.
  • Highly computer literate.
  • Analytical thinker.
  • Strong organizational skills.
