Accountabilities: 
You will conduct strategic purchasing activities to reduce the total cost of goods and services through proactive analysis of requirements and leading supply initiatives.  You will develop, negotiate and maintain major supply agreements that are all encompassing in scope and ensure the best value.  You will lead all tendering and request for proposal activities at the Lingan Generating Station. 

You will assess on a continuing basis the adequacy of the procurement strategies and how they relate to the organization, the environment, local business, health and safety and a competitive market place.  You will develop supply markets to a higher standard of performance and competitiveness as well as maintaining a high level of market intelligence. This will be achieved through continual contact with suppliers, peers, governmental agencies and review of trade.  You will ensure a global perspective is maintained with respect to strategic supply initiatives and opportunities.

You will be responsible for personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.

Skills, Capabilities and Experience: 
You must have a university degree and/or 4th level PMAC.  You must have three to five years of solid business and financial analysis experience and an overall understanding of Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Management.  You will be required to facilitate group meetings, conduct business analysis and prepare business cases.  You need to have superior negotiation skills and be able to multi-task and prioritize. Excellent customer service, inter-personal and communication skills are imperative.  You must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.  You must have exceptional leadership, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. 

You will be required to hold a valid driver’s license and travel for this position.
