Our client, an international leader in the manufacture and production of food products and packaging is currently searching for an Engineering Director – Packaging Systems to join their Supply Chain Team. Reporting to the Vice President, you will be responsible for the development of strategy related to packaging systems and will provide leadership in the creation of an international packaging team. In liaising with the company's manufacturing and engineering teams, you will also engage in the following:

• Establish best practices in packaging systems operation
• Improve system reliability with existing packaging operations
• Lead projects aimed at the design of innovative packaging systems
• Manage relationships with suppliers in order to improve costs
• Enhance company efforts with respect to environmental sustainability
• Liaise with company maintenance specialists to improve reliability of packaging systems
• Spearhead continued reviews of new technology associated with packaging systems

This position is a senior level, leadership role. In order to be considered for this position you should be able to demonstrate:

• An undergraduate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or comparable discipline)
• 7 to 10 years experience in packaging systems design, operations (CPG industries and/or VFFS systems) 
• Exposure to leadership in multi-plant and multi-divisional environments 
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and oral communication skills 
• Advanced level of proficiency with analytical and technical systems
