Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): WHMIS Certificate, Not required

Experience: Experience an asset

Languages: Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Trucking company, Manufacturing plant, Warehouse, Cross-docking facility

Vehicle and Equipment Experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Pallet lifters, Loaders

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products, Pick orders and stock, Pack and unpack goods, Sort goods, Stack goods, Store cargo and materials, Transport and distribute materials and goods

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Hand-eye co-ordination

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available
 
Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking
